Mangaluru: Unauthorised street vendors evicted in anti-encroachment drive

Mangaluru: The Mangaluru City Corporation took action against illegal street stalls on Ladyhill-Mannagudde Road and KPT -Airport Road on Monday.
First, around 25-30 shops near Ladyhill were removed. These included stalls selling bonda, fast food, juice, panipuri, and omelets.
The police detained four people who tried to stop the operation and took them to the police station.
The operation was led by Corporation Deputy Commissioner Rekha Shetty and Health Officer Dr. Manjaiah Shetty. Officials from the revenue department also took part.
Barke and Kadri police were present to provide security during the operation.
