Mangaluru: A severe windstorm on late Monday night led to a major incident in Kottara, where a building’s roof top was blown off and fell onto the national highway and electricity poles.
The roofing sheets, along with iron plates, were swept from one side of the highway to the other. As a result, three electricity poles along the highway were toppled.
Additionally, the roof of the nearby Kojapadi Towers also suffered significant damage, with losses running into lakhs of rupees. Fortunately, a major disaster was narrowly avoided.
