M’luru: Man dies on spot after tanker rams into scooter

A scooterist was killed on the spot after a tanker collided with his vehicle near Nantoor Junction in the city on Tuesday.

The deceased has been identified as Shivananda, a resident of Adyar.

The accident happened when the scooter rider was traveling from KPT towards Nantoor Junction. The tanker hit the scooter, causing Shivananda to fall onto the road and the rear wheels of the tanker ran over him causing his immediate death.

The police have registered a case and are conducting an investigation.
