Raichur: Four members of a family killed in suspected food poisoning

Four members of a family died due to suspected food poisoning in Kalluru village, Sirwar taluk on Friday, August 2.

The deceased have been identified as Bhimanna Bagli (70), Eeramma Bagli (62), Mallesh (21), and Parvathi (19). Another young woman, Mallamma, is in critical condition and is currently receiving treatment at a hospital.

Reportedly, the family members consumed non-vegetarian food at home on Wednesday. They were admitted to a private hospital in Raichur by their relatives as their health condition worsened. Unfortunately, the treatment was not successful, and they succumbed to the poisoning.

The Sirwar police registered a case and are conducting an investigation.
