NWKRTC bus catches fire near Sagara, passengers evacuated safely

A passenger bus caught fire near the KSRTC depot on Jog Road in Sagara town on Tuesday, August 6 morning.

The bus, belonging to the NWKRTC, was en route from Bhatkal to Bengaluru. As it approached the KSRTC depot on Jog Road, the bus suddenly caught fire. The alert driver immediately pulled over to the side of the road and evacuated the passengers.

There were about 12 passengers on board, all of whom were safely evacuated without any injuries.

Firefighters rushed to the scene and managed to extinguish the fire, preventing further damage or casualties.
