Vitla: Burglars break into home, steal valuables; Guard dog missing

Vitla: Burglars broke into a house at Salethur, and stole gold jewellery, cash, and other valuable items.
The homeowner Jagannath is currently abroad for work, and his wife, Vijaya Jagannath, and their two children were the only ones residing in the house.
On August 3, Vijaya, along with her children, visited her parental home in Eshwaramangala Panjody. Upon returning home on August 4, she discovered the burglary.
The burglars stole 34 grams of gold and Rs. 6,000 in cash. They also took a box containing foreign currency and coins. Additionally, they emptied Vijaya’s daughter’s school bag. The total value of the stolen items is estimated at Rs. 1,42,000.
Vitla police and fingerprint experts visited the scene to conduct an investigation.
Moreover, one of the two dogs guarding the house is missing. It is suspected that the burglars might have killed the dog.
