A 15-year-old boy allegedly died by hanging himself in his home on August 7 night.

The deceased, Bhavishya Acharya, was the son of Uday Acharya, a resident of Bejnapadavu.

Bhavishya was an SSLC student at a private school in Badakabail. His family suspects academic pressure might have driven him to take this drastic step.

On the night of August 7, around 7:30 PM, Bhavishya went to take a bath. When he didn’t return by 8:00 PM, his mother knocked on the door, but there was no response. She then broke open the door and found him hanging.

He was immediately rushed to a private hospital in Thumbay, where doctors confirmed his death.

A case has been registered at the Bantwal Town Police Station.

Suicide is preventable. If you get any such thoughts, consult or seek expert help.
