A man from Kerala has reportedly been abducted in Mangaluru, according to a complaint filed with the police.

The victim, identified as Sharath Babu, was allegedly involved in securing admissions for students in nursing colleges. He had reportedly taken ₹9 lakh from an individual from Kerala to secure a seat in a Bengaluru college. While ₹2 lakh was given to the college, the remaining amount was kept by Sharath Babu. It is believed that the person who paid the money had repeatedly threatened him, and it is suspected that they are behind the abduction.

The incident occurred on Tuesday evening (August 6) when Sharath Babu was near PVS Circle in Mangaluru with a friend. Allegedly, two men arrived in a car and forcibly took him away.

A case has been registered at the Kadri Police Station, and the police are currently investigating the matter.
