MAHE to celebrate Aati da Tulu Parba: A Cultural Extravaganza

Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) is delighted to announce the forthcoming “Aati da Tulu Parba,” an exuberant celebration of the rich cultural heritage of Tulunadu. This event promises to immerse participants in the traditional practices, music, dances, and cuisine of the Tulu-speaking community in Karnataka.

Highlights of the Event:
• Drawing Competition on Tulu Rang: Open to students from 8th to 12th grade, this competition provides a platform for young artists to showcase their talents through themes related to Tulu culture.
• Tulu Folk Group Dance Competition – Tulu Nalike: Group performances by students from 8th to 10th grade will feature traditional Tulu dances, highlighting the vibrant dance forms of the region.
• Presentation on Tulunadu Culture – Tulu Baduk: This segment invites participants of all ages, in groups of 2 to 5 members, to present various aspects of Tulunadu culture, fostering a deeper understanding of the heritage.
• Documentary Screening and Panel Discussion: Attendees will have the opportunity to watch “BHUTA,” a documentary centered on Tulu culture, followed by an engaging panel discussion.
• Stalls on Tulu Culture: From 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, a variety of stalls will display Tulu cultural artifacts, crafts, and traditional foods, offering an immersive experience of Tulunadu heritage.

This cultural extravaganza is scheduled for August 13th, from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM at Dr. T.M.A Pai Hall, Manipal. The event provides an excellent opportunity for students, the local community, and international attendees to come together, celebrate, and learn about the Tulunadu heritage. MAHE’s commitment to fostering connections between prospective students, locals, and international students is reflected in the diverse activities planned for the day.
