Mysuru: Former Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa challenged the state government, asking Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to dissolve the state Assembly and face fresh elections. He claimed that the people of Karnataka are fed up with the Congress administration.

Speaking at the conclusion of the “Mysuru Chalo Yatra” organized by the BJP-JD(S) alliance at the Maharaja College Grounds in Mysuru on Saturday, Yediyurappa released a book alleging corruption scandals by the Congress.

He stated that despite the Congress winning a clear majority in the Assembly elections, the people of the state are disappointed with the leadership of CM Siddaramaiah and Deputy CM Shivakumar.

He accused the state government of not undertaking any developmental projects in the last 14 months and claimed that the state’s treasury is being looted by the Congress leaders.

Yediyurappa asserted that as long as CM Siddaramaiah and DCM Shivakumar remain in power, the state’s development is impossible.

He declared that if elections were held now, the BJP-JD(S) alliance would emerge victorious, as the people of Karnataka are ready to send the Congress government home.

No Retirement from Politics:

Responding to CM Siddaramaiah’s remarks about his age, Yediyurappa, who is 82 years old, stated that he has no plans to retire from politics. He vowed to continue his fight until CM Siddaramaiah is ousted from power. He urged BJP-JD(S) leaders and workers to work tirelessly to bring the alliance to power in the state.

Yediyurappa also targeted CM Siddaramaiah over allegations of land grabbing, questioning how he acquired 14 plots of land for his family. He criticized Siddaramaiah’s offer to return the land if compensated, questioning the source of the funds for such compensation.

Yediyurappa accused the CM and DCM of being corrupt and suggested that they reflect on their future instead of making light of others.
