Uppinangady: Nausea during travel can be quite a nuisance, but in this case, it ended up saving five lives!
On Saturday, a container truck overturned on a car traveling on National Highway 75 near Barchinahalli village, Shiradi. The car, which was completely crushed under the truck, fortunately had no one inside at the time.
The passengers had stepped out because one of them, a woman, had felt nauseous and needed to vomit. This incident ended up saving all their lives.
Ganesh, Shivu, Kavya, Dandyamma, and driver Abdul Rahman Mulla, all residents of Davanagere, had visited Dharmasthala on Friday and were returning after a visit to Kukke Subramanya on Saturday when the accident occurred at 11:30 AM near Barchinahalli.
Kavya had informed the others that she was feeling sick, prompting them to stop the car by the roadside to attend to her. The driver had also stepped out to relieve himself.
Just then, right before their eyes, a container truck overturned and fell on their car, completely crushing it.
