A doctor in Navi Mumbai’s CBD Belapur township has been booked for allegedly molesting a 56-year-old woman, following her accusations of medical negligence that she believes led to her son’s death, an official reported on Sunday.

The woman’s son passed away on May 30. According to the FIR, the woman accused the doctor of failing to provide proper treatment, which she believes resulted in her son’s death. The woman alleges that when she confronted the doctor about her son’s treatment, he abused and molested her.

As a result of the woman’s complaint, authorities registered a case on Saturday against the doctor under sections 74, 79, 351(3), and 352 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. No reason was provided for the delay in filing the complaint.
