Malpe: With the rains easing over the past few days, Malpe Beach saw a significant influx of visitors on Sunday, thanks to the clear weather and weekend break.
Tourists have been arriving at the beach for the past two days, with a larger crowd gathering on Sunday. Morning visitors included tourists from distant places, while locals, along with their families, visited the beach in the afternoon, creating a bustling atmosphere from the sea walk to the main beach.
Authorities have taken precautions to ensure that no one enters the water. Reflective tape and fishnet barriers have been installed along the beach during the monsoon season to prevent tourists from venturing into the sea. However, some tourists still attempt to sneak into the water, leading to the deployment of additional staff to monitor the area.
Traditional Fishing Draws Crowds
Traditional fishing using hand nets by local fishermen along the shore has provided an additional attraction for visitors, adding to their enjoyment.
The barriers will remain in place until the end of August, and they may be removed in the first or second week of September, depending on the water conditions.
