Chikkamagaluru: A bandh has been called in three taluks within the Sringeri Assembly constituency on Saturday, August 17.

The Malenadu Nagarika Raitha Hitarakshana Vedike has announced the bandh in Sringeri, N.R. Pura, and Koppa taluks. The residents of Malenadu have expressed their anger against the government.

In Koppa, a massive protest meeting has been organized by the forum. The bandh will be observed from 7 AM to 6 PM.

The bandh is being called to protest against various government policies, including eviction drives and issues related to forest and revenue land encroachments. The organizations plan to conduct large-scale protests against the government’s anti-farmer policies.
