Three arrested in Mangaluru bus stone pelting incident

Three persons have been arrested for pelting stones at a bus during a protest by the Mangaluru District Congress against the Karnataka Governor’s approval for prosecuting Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. The demonstration took place in front of the Mangaluru City Corporation office.

During the protest, a bus with the registration number KA 19 C 7266 was transporting passengers near the traffic signal in front of the City Corporation office. A group of 10-15 individuals obstructed the bus and pelted it with stones, shattering its front glass.

A case has been registered at Barke Police Station regarding the incident. The police have arrested three suspects, identified as Shahul Amith, Anwar, and Kishore Shetty.

Efforts are underway to identify and apprehend the remaining individuals involved in the stone-pelting.
