Bantwal: Decomposed body of unidentified woman found

Bantwal: The decomposed body of an unidentified woman was found near gate 6 of AMR Power Dam in Shambhoor village on Tuesday, August 20.

The woman, who is estimated to be around 40-50 years old, is suspected to have accidentally fallen into the Netravati river or may have jumped into the river at least 15 days ago and her body floated in the river water and got trapped in the Shambhoor dam.

A case has been registered at Bantwal Rural Police Station. Any kin can contact the police station, said SI Harish of Rural Police Station.
