M’luru: College student dies after falling from moving bus

A 19-year-old college student died after he fell from a moving bus near Nitte on Wednesday.

The deceased identified as Janith Shetty was a second-year B.Sc. student of Nitte College.

The incident occurred when he was traveling from Karkala to Mangaluru in a private bus.

Reportedly Janith fell from the moving bus onto the road, and the rear wheels of the bus ran over him, causing severe injuries. He was immediately rushed to a local hospital where he was given preliminary treatment and later transferred to a private hospital in Manipal for further treatment. Unfortunately, despite the medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries.

Janith is survived by his mother and sister.
