Shirur Hill Collapse: PM Assures Aid from National Relief Fund

Sirsi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved a grant from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund to aid the victims of the Shirur hill collapse in Uttara Kannada.

In a letter addressed to Uttara Kannada MP Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri, the Prime Minister assured all possible assistance from the central government for the affected families. He also extended his prayers for those affected by the tragedy.

MP Kageri had written to the Prime Minister on July 31, requesting aid. The Prime Minister responded on August 20, and the letter was received by the MP on Thursday.
