Madikeri: Tremors were reportedly felt in various localities of Kushalnagar, including Kopp and Bailukoppa, early this morning.

Residents said that at around 6:25 AM on August 23, a loud noise was heard for 2 to 3 seconds. While some initially mistook it for thunder, the consistent experience across different areas led to speculation that it was the sound of an earthquake.

With the Harangi Reservoir located near Kushalnagar, residents have become anxious. Scientists have yet to provide precise information regarding the incident.
