Karkala Gang rape case: Two suspects arrested

Police have arrested two suspects in connection with the gang rape case involving of a 21-year-old woman from Kukkundoor village

Superintendent of Police Arun Kumar confirmed that one of the accused, Altaf has already been taken into custody, and now another accused, who provided the drugs and alcohol, has also been arrested by the police.

Reportedly Altaf was known to the victim and lured her to the location. He then allegedly administered intoxicants to the woman, committed the rape, and then called the other accused to join in.

The unconscious woman was admitted to the Karkala Taluk Hospital and is currently receiving treatment at KMC Hospital in Manipal.

Hindu organizations have gathered in front of the hospital, demanding the immediate arrest of all the accused.
