Chikkamagaluru: Man dies in accidental gunfire while cleaning weapon

Chikkamagaluru: A 47-year-old man accidentally shot himself while cleaning his gun at home.
The deceased has been identified as Arun, a resident of Kalavase village.
Arun was reportedly cleaning a gun in the shed of his house when it suddenly misfired, with the bullet striking his right eye. The injury was fatal, and he died on the spot.
The incident took place while Arun was alone at home, and it remains unclear whether this was an accident or a case of suicide.
The body has been sent to Hassan Hospital for a post-mortem examination. The Mallandur Police Station has registered a case and is investigating the incident.
