Geethartha Chinthane 30: God is not ‘partial’ but ‘all-encompassing’

God’s commands are beyond question. He is the all-encompassing reality. This is why the phrase ‘Dharmasya Prabhur Achyutah’ (the infallible Lord is the master of Dharma) exists. At some point, we must accept the concept of being unquestionable.
For example, according to democratic principles, “only those born in this country have the right to vote.” If someone asks, “why is this?” there is no room for questioning. If the rule were, “only the enlightened can vote” and “the ignorant cannot,” then who would decide who is enlightened and who is ignorant? Therefore, it was made a policy that anyone who is born here and turns 21 can vote. There might be flaws in this system, but there is no better alternative. Every rule has limitations.
When we say ‘Bhagavadhinatvaat Sarvasya’ (everything belongs to God), the term ‘Sarvasya’ (everything) is used because it signifies ‘all,’ not ‘partial.’ Sometimes we say, “this seems to be only God’s work,” but what does that imply? Does the rest belong to us? Not at all. We must develop the understanding that everything is God’s work. Arjuna’s doubts were resolved when he realized with certainty that “everything belongs to God.”
