Bengaluru: In a peculiar incident near B.R.I Colony, Dasarahalli, Magadi Road, a group of youths spent the entire night searching for a gold chain they had accidentally immersed with a Ganesha idol.

The group had adorned the Ganesha idol with a 65-gram gold chain during the puja. However, they forgot to remove the chain during the idol immersion on Saturday evening. The idol, along with the chain, was immersed in water provided by a BBMP-arranged truck at 7 PM.

Around 10 PM, the youths suddenly realized their mistake and rushed back to inform the truck driver and BBMP staff. The truck’s water was drained, and after hours of searching through the muddy remains of the Ganesha idol, they finally recovered the gold chain early in the morning.
