Puttur: A woman, who had earlier lodged a rape complaint against Arun Kumar Puthila, has now filed a complaint with the State Human Rights Commission.
In her complaint, she alleged that officials and staff at the Puttur Town Police Station initially refused to accept her complaint. She also accused the police of colluding with the accused and failing to deliver justice.
According to the woman, when she went to the Puttur Town Police Station on August 30 to file a complaint, the officials and staff made her wait for three days without accepting her report. She further claimed that the accused and his associates have been threatening her with dire consequences if she proceeds with the case or provides evidence.
The woman has requested the Human Rights Commission to intervene, alleging police inaction and misconduct in handling her case.
