Mangaluru: A disturbing incident occurred in Dongarakere, Mangaluru, where a pet dog was handed over to a garbage disposal truck by its owners. The incident has shocked the local community.
An elderly woman is the only resident of the house as the other family members live abroad. The dog reportedly caused trouble in the neighborhood recently, which led the owners to take this step. The garbage collectors did not object and transported the dog and the waste.
Local residents recorded the event on mobile phones, and the matter came to light two days later when the video went viral on social media.
Meanwhile, the Animal Husbandry Department has issued a notice to the municipal corporation demanding an explanation. The search for the dog continues around the Pacchanady area, where the waste was dumped.
