The accused, Badruddin, hailing from Puttur in Dakshina Kannada district, was apprehended with 5 kg 20 grams of ganja, valued at around Rs 1 lakh.

According to the police, Badruddin, who was working at a hotel in Bengaluru, had resorted to drug peddling due to financial difficulties.
