Mangaluru: BJP condemns Rahul Gandhi’s remarks on India’s reservation system during US visit

Mangaluru: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) condemned Congress leader and Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi’s statement made in the US, about removing the reservation system in India at an appropriate time.

BJP demands that upon returning to India, Rahul Gandhi should immediately apologize to the crores of Dalits and vow never to repeat such actions, said BJP state spokesperson Hariprakash Konemane.

Speaking at a press conference in the city on Friday, Hariprakash alleged that Rahul Gandhi continues his old strategy of misrepresenting India’s governance system while abroad, now questioning the country’s electoral process from the US. He accused Rahul of aligning himself with anti-national forces, further escalating his wrongdoings with each passing day.

Hariprakash also claimed that since the Congress came to power in the state, “anti-national fundamentalist forces” have begun to act openly. He cited the recent attack on the Ganesh immersion procession in Nagamangala for the second consecutive year, alleging that despite this, the state’s Home Minister downplayed it as a minor incident. The BJP would join with Hindu organizations and stage protests in every taluk against such incidents, he added.
