In the ongoing Renukaswamy murder case, the 24th ACMM Court in Bengaluru has extended the judicial custody of actor Darshan and his associates until September 30. The decision was made during a hearing on Tuesday, September 17, where Darshan was presented via video conferencing from Ballari jail, while Pavitra Gowda appeared from Parappana Agrahara jail.

During the hearing, Darshan’s lawyers raised concerns about the lack of medical facilities and visitation rights in jail, stating that despite his request for a chair due to back pain, it had not been provided. They also pointed out that he was being denied the opportunity to meet his friends. In response, the judge directed jail authorities to ensure that all necessary facilities were made available to the accused.

A total of 17 accused, including Darshan, Pavitra Gowda, Deepak, Anukumar, Jagadish, and Ravi, participated in the hearing from various jails across Karnataka through video conferencing.

The police have already submitted a charge sheet in the case, comprising 3,991 pages, detailing the involvement of the accused in the Renukaswamy murder.

The next hearing is scheduled for September 30, where further proceedings are expected to take place.
