Shirva: Udupi Police SI passes away due to heart attack

Shirva: A police sub-inspector serving at the Udupi District Superintendent of Police’s office passed away in his sleep due to a heart attack on the morning of Tuesday, September 17, in Shirva.

The deceased officer, Nityananda Shetty (51), was serving in the Wireless Control Room at the Udupi District SP’s office. He was a resident of the road near Shri Dharmajarandaya Daivasthana in Shirva. Shetty is survived by his mother, wife, son, and daughter.

With 28 years of service in the police department, Nityananda Shetty had previously worked in the Malpe Coastal Security Division. For the past four years, he had been serving as a PSI in the Wireless Control Room at the SP’s office.
