Udupi: Fire breaks out in moving car due to short circuit

Udupi: A sudden fire broke out in a moving car in the city on Tuesday, September 24.

The incident occurred on the road in front of MTR Hotel, Udupi. An elderly man from Brahmagiri was driving an Alto car when a short circuit occurred suddenly. He immediately pulled over and stepped out of the vehicle.

The fire engulfed the front portion of the car. Locals informed the fire department, who successfully extinguished the blaze.

It is reported that the fire was caused due to a short circuit in the car’s battery. Traffic congestion occurred for some time as a result, and the front portion of the car was damaged.
