Team Udayavani, Sep 25, 2024, 4:03 PM IST

A leopard attack near Shiriyar here has created a sense of fear among the residents after it grabbed and ran off with a pet dog in a matter of seconds.

The incident took place at the residence of Nailadi Sadashiva Kulal’s house.

Frequent leopard sightings in the area have made it difficult for the residents to venture out at night and livestock and pet dogs are falling prey to the big cat.

Forest department efforts to nab the leopard have not been successful.
