Mangaluru: Panambur beach murder case accused arrested

Mangaluru: The police have arrested one suspect, in connection with the murder that took place near the Babbarya Temple on Panambur Beach on September 21.
The victim, identified as Muttu Basavaraj Waddar alias Mudukappa, a 39-year-old man from Bagalkot, was killed near the seashore. The police arrested the accused, Dharmaraj Suvarna, a local resident, from Chompal in Kerala’s Kozhikode district.
According to reports, Dharmaraj and the deceased, Muttu Basavaraj, were acquaintances.
Recently, Dharmaraj had purchased a new mobile phone, which Muttu Basavaraj had borrowed but did not return and damaged. This led to a heated argument between the two.
In the altercation, Dharmaraj allegedly struck Muttu Basavaraj with a wooden log, leading to his death.
The investigation is still ongoing.
