Chamarajanagar: KSRTC bus plunges into ditch after steering rod breaks; Over 13 passengers injured

Gundlupet: A KSRTC bus, en route from Kundakere to Gundlupet via Yariyur, veered off course and plunged into a ditch after the steering end rod broke, causing the driver to lose control. More than 13 passengers were injured in the mishap.
The KSRTC bus driver lost control of the vehicle when the steering end rod broke and crashed into a ditch near a roadside bridge. Four passengers — Govindaraju and Rangayya from Kundakere village, Sunita and Rangayya seated at the rear of the bus suffered serious injuries to their waist, chest, and head. They were initially treated at the Gundlupet public hospital before being shifted to Chamarajanagar district hospital for further treatment.
Other passengers sustained minor injuries and received treatment.
Gundlupet police rushed to the scene. A case has been registered regarding the incident.
