Prize distribution ceremony of Udayavani.com’s “Nammane Krishna-2024” reels competition held

Manipal: In celebration of Shri Krishna Janmashtami, Udayavani.com, in collaboration with I Am Jayalakshmi Bridal Destination (Bijai, Mangaluru), KMF Nandini, and G.L. Acharya Jewellers, organized the “Nammane Krishna Reels” competition. The prize distribution ceremony took place on Friday, September 27, at Country Inn & Suites Hotel, Manipal.
Rajendra Ullal, the branch head of I Am Jayalakshmi Bridal Destination, Mangaluru, praised the efforts of parents behind the scenes, stating, “The dedication of parents to creating such reels is immeasurable. I hope more such competitions are organized by Udayavani Digital in the future.”
KMF Director Kapu Divakar Shetty highlighted the significance of Krishna’s butter theft, adding that “Nandini” butter has gained prominence. He also mentioned that Nandini ghee has recently been in demand from Tirupati, with 350 tons already supplied. Shetty expressed hope that more children will participate in such events in the future.
Venu Sharma, Managing Consultant of Ad Idea, commended the rise of digital media and hoped Udayavani Digital would continue to grow through such events.
Vinod Kumar, Managing Director and CEO of Manipal Media Network Ltd., emphasized that the competition provided an excellent platform for children, showcasing joy, culture, values, love, and hard work in every reel. He appreciated the parents’ efforts and said, “Participation itself is a mark of success.”
Usharani Kamath, Senior Manager of Human Resources, organized and anchored the event.

Parents of the first prize winner, Sharan P. and Arpita, shared their joy, “We didn’t expect to win. We worked from morning till noon to make this reel. Winning the first prize has made us very happy.”
Shailesh P. and Akshata K., parents of the second prize winner, mentioned that they regularly made Instagram reels and decided to participate in the competition after hearing about it. “Seeing our video online gave us immense happiness,” they said.
Ratnakar Poojari and Usha, parents of the third prize winner, expressed that creating the reel based on their own concept boosted their child’s competitive spirit.
