Kaup: Car and auto-rickshaw collide; two injured

Kaup: A head-on collision between a car and an auto-rickshaw near the Kaup Mosque Junction on National Highway 66 left two people injured on Saturday night.
The auto driver, Poornesh, and a passenger, Noorsahib, sustained injuries in the accident. The incident occurred when a car traveling from Kerala towards Udupi collided with the rickshaw that was moving from Kaup Market towards Polipu.
Both vehicles were severely damaged in the crash. The injured were immediately rushed to a private hospital in Udupi. The accident also led to heavy traffic congestion on the highway.
Kaup police visited the spot and are investigating the cause of the accident.
