Belagavi: Father, son among three electrocuted to death

Belagavi: In a tragic incident on Sunday, three people, including a father and son, lost their lives after coming into contact with a live electrical wire in Mhaisal village, Miraj taluk, Maharashtra, near the Karnataka border.
The deceased have been identified as Parishnath Honamore (40), his son Sairaj Parishnath Honamore (13), and Pradeep Shrikrishna Mothe (35). Another person, Hemant Honamore (14), sustained serious injuries and has been admitted to the government hospital in Miraj.
The incident occurred when a live electrical wire snapped and fell on the field where the victims were collecting hay. Parishnath reportedly stepped on the wire and was electrocuted. When his son, Sairaj, rushed to help him, he too came into contact with the live wire. Pradeep, another villager, also got electrocuted, and all three died on the spot. Hemant was injured while trying to save them.
Following the incident, the family members and local residents expressed their anger towards the Maharashtra State Electricity Board, blaming them for negligence. Police from Miraj station arrived at the scene, conducted an investigation, and registered a case.
