Bajpe: Two drown in Phalguni River; body of one recovered

The body of one individual who drowned in the Phalguni River near the Malavoor railway bridge on Sunday evening, was recovered by expert divers from Bengre at 8:30 AM on Monday.

The body of Aneesh (19) from Urvastore, was recovered while the search continues for Sumith (20) from Kottara Chowki, who also went missing in the river.

Rescue operations began Monday morning with divers from Bengre, alongside the fire department. Bajpe Police Inspector Sandeep G.S. and his team have set up a base at the location to oversee the ongoing search efforts.
