Mangaluru: BJP state secretary and MP Captain Brijesh Chowta has called for Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s resignation, accusing him of corruption and mismanagement. Chowta remarked that the Chief Minister’s wife returning 14 MUDA sites appears to be a “desperate attempt to salvage his political career.”
“The CM seems to have realized his mistakes, but it’s too late. He should resign and show respect for the values of the Constitution. His sole aim appears to be clinging to power,” Chowta stated.
Chowta accused Siddaramaiah’s “unscientific policies” of pushing the state to the verge of bankruptcy, with no visible development in the state. He alleged that Siddaramaiah “misused funds from the Valmiki Corporation” for the Lok Sabha elections and obtained a site in his wife’s name by “encroaching on Dalit land.”
The BJP, Chowta claimed, has been successful in its fight against the CM, both inside and outside the legislature. He criticized Siddaramaiah for disrespecting the Constitutional post of the Governor by addressing the Governor in singular after he granted permission to prosecute the Chief Minister for his alleged misconduct.
