Karkala: In a tragic accident, a man was killed after a car ran over him in Mudaru Rameruguttu of Miyaru village.
The deceased has been identified as Panduranga Acharya (57), a resident of Kadambala.
Acharya was walking along the roadside when a Maruti car, driven recklessly, lost control and ran over him, killing him on the spot.
The incident occurred during the evening as he was returning home on foot. Authorities are investigating the case.
