Gundlupet: A truck overturned and fell into a ditch after the driver lost control due to brake failure at a curve in the Bandipur Tiger Reserve on Saturday morning, October 5. The driver sustained severe injuries in the incident.

The truck, which was carrying a load of rubber from Tamil Nadu, overturned at an S-shaped curve near the Melukamanahalli Check Post in Bandipur.

The driver was trapped under the truck, and with the help of a crane, he was rescued and rushed to the Gundlupet Taluk Hospital for first aid.

Due to severe injuries to his arms and legs, the driver was later shifted to the Chamarajanagar District Hospital for further treatment.

Sub-Inspector Sahebgowda, along with fire brigade and forest officials, arrived at the accident site to oversee the recovery efforts and assist in lifting the truck. The truck was severely damaged in the accident, and rubber-filled sacks were scattered across the area.
