Ballari: Former Minister and MLA Janardhan Reddy has levelled serious allegations against Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, accusing him of amassing Rs 5,000 crore worth of benami assets.
Speaking to reporters, Reddy claimed that Siddaramaiah and his family had acquired these assets through his relatives. The ongoing investigation into the MUDA case is not just about 14 sites or Rs 62 crore. The real figure is Rs 5,000 crore in benami properties, and a thorough investigation must be conducted, Reddy stated.
Reddy also recalled how he and others resigned from their posts when asked by Advani, unlike the current Congress government, which he claimed is drowning in corruption. He also accused Siddaramaiah of blocking major steel projects in Bellary, depriving locals of jobs.
Further targeting the Chief Minister, Reddy claimed that Siddaramaiah admitted to misappropriating Rs 82 crore, not Rs 180 crore, in the Valmiki Development Corporation in the state assembly. “The entire government, not just Nagendra, is involved,” he alleged.
