Manipal: A sudden cloudburst struck Hebri, causing flash floods and widespread panic among the residents. The unexpected downpour occurred from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM, inundating the villages of Balladi and Kantarbailu.

The heavy rainfall, lasting just an hour, caused severe flooding, submerging several houses.

A car, along with over 15 cattle, and areca trees were swept away by the floodwaters. Villagers, taken by surprise, struggled to cope with the deluge.

Rescue operations are currently underway, with local authorities and residents joining efforts to mitigate the damage.

The region had seen reduced rainfall in recent days, with hot and cloudy weather prevailing. This sudden cloudburst and ensuing floods have raised alarm among the local population.
