Kinnigoli: A car caught fire unexpectedly near the busy Kinnigoli market on Monday, October 7, 2024. Fortunately, quick action from locals helped save a woman and her two children from danger.

The incident occurred when Jasmine, a resident of Damaskatte near Kinnigoli, parked her car near the Kinnigoli market. Jasmine was accompanied by another woman and two children. Moments after parking, smoke began to emerge from the car, causing panic. Hearing the screams of the women and children, locals immediately rushed to their aid.

Thanks to the swift intervention of Raghavendra Prabhu, a local shop owner, and others, the fire was extinguished using equipment from a nearby petrol pump. Their timely actions prevented the fire from spreading and ensured the safety of those inside the car.

No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is yet to be determined. The incident caused a brief disruption near the market but normalcy was quickly restored after the fire was brought under control.
