Weather Alert: Heavy rains in coastal and Kodagu regions?

Bengaluru: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an Orange Alert for the districts of Chamarajanagar, Chikkamagaluru, and Kodagu, predicting heavy rainfall on Tuesday. As a precautionary measure, authorities have been alerted to potential weather-related risks in these regions.

Additionally, a Yellow Alert has been issued for the districts of Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Hassan, Mandya, Mysuru, and Shivamogga. Isolated heavy rainfall is expected in the coastal districts of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi on Tuesday.

IMD has also forecast thunderstorms with rain for the districts of Chikkamagaluru, Kodagu, Shivamogga, Hassan, Chamarajanagar, Mysuru, Mandya, Chitradurga, Davangere, and Tumakuru.

In Uttara Kannada, widespread light to moderate rainfall is expected, while several parts of the northern interior districts may experience light to moderate rain.
