A JMFC court in Sullia sentenced two individuals to three years in prison and imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 for their involvement in theft cases involving gold jewelry and cash in Sampaje.

The accused, Ahmad Kabir and Sajjudeen Farookh, were found guilty after a trial at the Sullia court. The judgement was pronounced by enior Civil Judge and JMFC B. Mohan Babu.

Case Details:

On January 29, 2014, a burglary occurred at the home of Sanath P.S. in Sampaje. The thieves broke in through the back door and stole approximately Rs 62,900 worth of gold jewelry and Rs 10,000 in cash. On the same day, another incident took place at Madhav P.’s house in Gunadak, where thieves entered through a window and made off with gold jewelry worth about Rs 2,27,600. Both incidents were reported to the Sullia Police Station.

Since the second accused had been evading capture, the cases were initially separated. After locating the suspect, the Sullia Court conducted hearings for all related cases. The court concluded that both defendants had committed the crimes and considered them guilty.
