The coastal region’s long-standing demand for direct rail connectivity to Tirupati is finally being fulfilled, with a new train service set to commence on Vijayadashami. The extended Kacheguda-Renigunta-Tirupati-Mangaluru train will begin its first journey on Saturday, marking a significant milestone for the region’s rail network.

This new service, which will also pass through Coimbatore, will facilitate easier travel for those visiting the Isha Yoga Center and the Adiyogi statue established by Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev.

Schedule:

The train will operate twice a week: on Wednesdays and Saturdays from Murudeshwar, and on Tuesdays and Fridays from Tirupati. The inaugural service will depart from Murudeshwar at 3:20 PM on Saturday, October 12, stopping at Byndoor at 3:54 PM, Kundapur at 4:40 PM, Barkur at 5:00 PM, Udupi at 5:20 PM, and reaching Mangaluru at 7:55 PM.

The train will then leave Mangaluru at 8:05 PM and arrive in Renigunta (Tirupati) at 11:30 AM on Sunday, with the final destination being Kacheguda in Hyderabad at 6:00 PM. This new service is expected to significantly improve travel convenience for devotees and tourists alike.
