At Tesla’s ‘We, Robot’ event in California, the spotlight was on Optimus, the company’s latest humanoid robot. These robots walked the ramp, served drinks, and left attendees in awe with their versatile abilities.
Priced between $20,000 and $30,000, Optimus is designed to handle everyday tasks, from teaching to mowing lawns and fetching groceries. Tesla CEO Elon Musk described it as a personal assistant for various household chores. “It’s going to do whatever you need,” Musk stated at the launch.
A demo showed Optimus watering plants, cleaning, and playing with children, offering a glimpse of its potential in home automation. During the event, robots interacted with attendees, serving drinks and following commands. The sight of humanoid robots performing tasks typically done by humans sparked buzz on social media.
Some users raised doubts about the robot’s interactivity, suggesting remote operation, while others were impressed by its capabilities. As Tesla aims to scale production, Optimus could soon redefine how we use robots at home and beyond.
Optimus just poured a drink and didn’t ask for a 25% tip on an iPad.
Just put $10M more into Tesla stock
