Mangaluru: Grand Mangaladevi Rathotsava

The grand Rathotsava was held at the Mangaladevi Temple on Sunday night as part of the Vijayadashami celebrations. The festival began with various religious rituals from the early morning, and thousands of devotees from nearby villages participated and sought the blessings of the deity.
The rituals included the Ushahkaala pooja, Nitya pooja, Panchamrita Abhisheka, Navaka Kalashabhisheka, Kalakatta Pooja, Dhanyalakshmi Pooja, Vidyarambha, Tulabhara Seva, followed by the Maharathotsava of Shri Devi. The event also included the grand chariot procession, Shamikatte pooja, Palki Bali, and other significant ceremonies like Chede Suttu and the final Vijayadashami Mahapooja.
Car Street: Shobha Yatra Today
Today, a grand Shobha Yatra (procession) will be organized by the Sri Sharada Mahotsava Samiti as part of the 102nd Shree Sharada Mahotsava, at Car Street. The ceremony will take place at the Vasant Mantap of Acharya Math near the Sri Venkataramana Temple at 5 PM.
The procession will start from the Utsava Sthana and move towards Shree Mahamayi Temple, passing through Canara High School, Govinda Pai Circle, New Chitra Talkies, Basavanagudi, Chamaragalli, and finally conclude at the Shree Mahamayi Teertha.
