Mysuru: The festive lighting for Dasara has been extended until October 23, and the vehicle traffic restrictions imposed earlier will remain in place until then. There has been a rise in the number of people visiting the city to witness the lighting displays, and to manage the increased traffic, restrictions will be enforced from 4 PM to midnight daily.
Traffic will be controlled along the route from Jayachamaraja Wadiyar Circle (Hardinge Circle) to K.R. Circle and the surrounding roads, with one-way traffic allowed in some areas. Restrictions similar to those in place during Dasara festivities will continue.
City bus services will also see temporary changes in routes and stops, and the KSRTC bus services from the Suburban Bus Stand to destinations like Bengaluru, Hassan, Madikeri, H.D. Kote, and Nanjangud will be affected by these alterations until October 23.
