Bengaluru: Delivery boy arrested for thefts

Bengaluru: Despite police warnings to avoid leaving house keys hidden outside, a delivery boy exploited a homeowners’ carelessness by using a hidden keys to rob houses of cash and jewelry. The accused has now been arrested by the Whitefield police.
The accused, identified as 30-year-old Pradeep, was an employee at an online grocery delivery company. During his deliveries, he observed where homeowners typically hid their keys. Later, when the homeowners were away, he would unlock the doors and steal valuables.
The police have seized 152 grams of gold worth Rs 10 lakh and a motorbike from Pradeep.
Thefts Unnoticed by Homeowners
Pradeep admitted to stealing from five houses in the Whitefield area during interrogation. However, surprisingly, none of the homeowners were aware of the thefts until the police informed them. After being notified, the homeowners inspected their cupboards and found that their valuables were indeed missing. Following this, official complaints were lodged, and a case has been registered.
According to the police, Pradeep resorted to theft to fund his extravagant lifestyle.
